So Sad

Ashlyn left this morning. They came over last night to say bye. The kids were playing and having a good old time. I put the boys in bed and about an hour and a half later I hear crying. I run into the boy's room and Riley is in bed crying.
I asked him "what is wrong"
Riley "nothing".
me "did you have a bad dream".
No.
Does you tummy hurt.
No, it's nothing.
Are you sad that Ashlyn is gone.
Then he started crying more. Yes.
It was so sad and so cute all at the same time. All I could do was hold him to try and make him feel better. I didn't think that it was going to effect him much because he is young. Boy was I wrong. Him and Ashlyn were such great friends. He also told me that we have to take a picture of her and put it on our frig so that we can never forget her. So sweet.
Riley is ok this morning. I can tell that he is sad, not acting like his usual self, but ok.

Best Friends

Here are my new pages that I just finished. Riley's best friend, Ashlyn, is moving. So, we went to the park and I had to take some pictures. I think they turned out really cute. Riley is going to miss her sooooo much. He told me that we will just have to move with them. I don't think that is going to happen. But, a good idea. I think I will miss her mom as much as Riley misses her.

Camping Trip!

We didn't thnk that we were going to be able to go camping this last weekend since it started snowing on friday. We got up on saturday and decided that the weather looked good. So, off we went. We had a great time. Here are some of the pictures of things we did.

Jacob and our dog Moo on one of our hikes.

Chris and me riding our bikes.

Riley on his bike. Jacob rides some, but he doesn't really like it. Riley and Chris went on a 4 hour ride (the boy's bike can only go so fast). They had a lot of fun.

Parker taking his naps in the back of the car.

My sister Saundra went with us. We also had some target practice.
And of course sitting in front of the campfire.
Parker loved the fire he was mesmerized by it.
We had a ton of fun!!

It is SNOWING!!!

So crazy!! There is snow here. Well, not much. But alot for us here in the desert. It is alot when it sticks to the ground. Not as much as last year but it is still tons of fun for us.

So proud

I was just messing around, trying to fix my blog page and I found this program on my computer. This template was already on there. I just had to add pictures, text, and move things around a bit. I think it turned out great. Now I'n really going to be on the computer all the time. GREAT!
I just added my new Valentine page.

My clock

My sister, Saundra, made me the family for Christmas. I love it so much. I have it sitting on top of our entertainment center and above it there was a plain old clock. I thought it would look really nice if I made a clock to match it. I got the leftover paper that my sister used and I made this clock yesterday. I think it turned out really nice. Now everything looks so much better. I love it.

Valentines

Valentines has never been a big deal to me. But, I am trying to make the holidays really fun for the kids. Jacob and Riley had a great time making their valentines for their friends. Then today after Jacob got home from school they cut out hearts and taped them on the front door for when Chris gets home. We have done this for the past 3 years and the boys have blast doing it. They get to excited when Chris gets home and sees what they have done. We usually make cookies but I did not have time and no cookies mean no temptation to eat the cookies. Good job me!
Happy valentines day to everyone.

No Idea

I have no idea what I have done to my blog. I thought that it was saving my stuff and then everything changed. Now I can't get our picture back on in the right size and if I change the background back to what it was it is going to erase everything but my blogs. Is there anyway to get more than one picture in the header? What do I do?

No more bad mom

Jacob came home from school today and said that they have early release on Friday. His teacher always staples a paper around the kids wrist to remind parent about early realease days. So, Jacob being so smart told me that on Friday morning when I get up I need to staple it around my wrist so that I won't forget him again. Now I just have to remember to staple it on my wrist on Friday. I have the worst memory. I hope he will remind me.

The Talk

The talk went well. I cried alot, of course. I know that I would as soon as he told me the topic. I didn't even use the talk that I prepared, which is really weird for me because I usually never stray from my planning. I talked about my family growing up and how I really looked up to my parents and really want to be the mother that my mom was to me, very strong and patient. How important the dinningroom table is. I have some of the best memories at our dinningroom table, all the conversations we had there and still have there. Then of course I had to talk about my brother in-law, Ehren, who just passed away last year. How strong my sister is because of the
knowledge she has that they will be together again. I also talked about how it is so much harder when you don't have that knowledge, like Ehren's parents and how they think that they will never ever see their son again. That would be so hard. Then after I cried a ton and no one could understand me, I'm sure. I talk about doing genealogy work for those family members who have already pasted on. I talked about the new family search website that my dad was showing Chris and I this weekend. As he was showing us what he has been doing, he realized that he never sealed his grandparents to eachother, he thought that he had. He was so excited to find this. He printed it out and that will be the next thing that he does at the Temple. He will probably go this next weekend.
I think it turned out well. Even though they probably couldn't understand half of my talk. Oh, well.

HOLY COW

I literally have a half of a cow in my freezer. From the good meat like ribs, t-bone, roast to the weird stuff like neck bone, liver, soup bone, tail, and even the tongue. What do I do with all that stuff. Good thing I didn't have much in me freezer for once. As you can see I have to have the ice cream with all my meat.
The reason I have all this meat is because a friend talked Chris into going in with him on buying a cow. There was going to be another guy, so we would split it in 3rds. But the other guy moved. We got a half a cow, over 200 lbs of meat. It takes up my whole extra freezer plus some. All that in the freezer, except the ice cream and chicken, is cow and all those little white bags, cow. CRAZY!! My fingers are totally num after handling all that.

Talking on Sunday

I am giving a talk on Sunday. My topic is building an Eternal Family. There is so much I could talk about, it is overwhelming. I am thinking about going in the direction of the importance of little children in the world and to the future of our church, and our eternal calling as mothers and fathers in raising these children. Does anyone have any suggestions or great ideas for me.

Basketball

I played again. It was much better this time. My blisters did come back, but other than that I am good. I guess I just had to warm up some, because I finally made some shots. I will be going back tonight. Maybe I will be even better. Watch out boys, here I come!!

So much Pain!!

Chris hurt me really bad last night. He took me to play basketball with the guys he works with. Now my body really hurts, blisters on the balls of my feet, banged up knee, elbo, and sholder, and a little bump on my head from an elbo (from being short). I wish I was a little bit taller. I wish I was a baller (do you know this song. It is really funny.) What's wrong with me, it has only been aout 10 years since I have played ball. Oh, well. I guess this means I will be readdy for next week.
I hope!!
